Why did we embark on our mission?

Have you ever arrived at a beach, park, river or other natural place of beauty and found it full of plastic bottles, bags, cans and other trash? Did you ever look at your recycling bins at home shocked about the amount of single-use plastic we use? Do you worry about the health impact of the amount of plastic products we consume drinks and food every day?

Over 500 billion plastic bottles are consumed worldwide every year with an enormous impact in terms of plastic pollution and carbon footprint. What if there was a better solution?

Tappwater was born

We founded Tappwater in 2017 to reduce human impact on the planet by providing better alternatives to bottled water.

How are we doing?

At the end of 2023 our customers have offset over 100 million plastic bottles. That’s more than 400 football fields covered by plastic bottles. But this is only the beginning. Our target is to avoid 10 billion bottles by 2027.
